What We Stand For

United Way of Southwest Minnesota is an independent, local organization working to create lasting changes in people's lives and the communities in Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Yellow Medicine and western Redwood Counties of Minnesota.

The organization is led by a diverse group of volunteers from business, government, human services, education and the community.  United Way provides opportunities to be involved with and invest in the community to advance the common good.

Advancing the common good means creating opportunities for a better life for all.  When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all.  We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable and when people have good health.  These results/changes have benefits that ripple out to the community as a whole.

Our Mission

To improve lives in Southwest Minnesota by mobilizing the caring power of our communities.
