Wild About Reading

 


 

Attention Preschoolers!  Come listen to stories, participate in activities and enjoy an animal cracker snack.  Wild About Reading events are open to all ages, however books and activities are directed to pre-school children.  Events at all locations will go from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m.  CLICK HERE for a list of event venues.


Families, daycares, grandparents, anyone with children, are all invited to attend!  Child care providers who attend with the children in their care will be given a few children's books to take home for use in their daycare.

WILD ABOUT READING literacy building events were held in sixteen area parks during Summer 2009.  The events featured music, reading of Imagination Library books by volunteers, activities and animal crackers.

Wild About Reading events were held for the first time during the summer of 2008.  Fourteen area parks were visited with over 400 children attending these events which included music, activities, reading and animal cracker snacks.  CLICK HERE for a recap of these events.
