This year's Read-a-Rama will heat-up the winter cold with a Caribbean flare as Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and a favorite Imagination Library book Boom Chicka Rock are featured. Children will have the opportunity to participate in activities related to each story after the books are read. All ages are welcome, but the activities are primarily for pre-school age children. There is no cost to take part in these activities.
United Way of Southwest Minnesota's Success by 6 works to build school readiness by providing literacy building activities, sponsorship of Imagination Library books and quality parenting tools for families with children birth to age 5 living within the following school districts (including private and charter schools in these communities): Canby, Lake Benton, Lakeview, Lincoln HI, Lynd, Marshall, Milroy, Minneota, Murray County Center, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, Tracy Area, Westbrook-Walnut Grove and Yellow Medicine East.
