- Stuff the Bus Thank You

Over 700 students in this area will benefit from the Stuff the Bus school supply collection project this year.   Supplies have been delivered to all schools in Lincoln, Lyon Counties, as well as in Milroy and Canby for distribution.  Thank you to all the people and groups who helped make this successful again this year.

United Way of Southwest Minnesota, The Salvation Army, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and members of area churches provided grants or donations that were used to purchase supplies.  Southwest Coaches provided the use of a school bus in Marshall to help collect school supplies at the Knology sponsored summer Mello Yello Event with Marshall Radio.

Several groups donated school supplies and financial donations including employees at ACMC, Bank of the West, Bremer Bank, City of Marshall, Explore Information Services, Inkmart.com-Mike Holm, MinnWest Bank, North Star Mutual Insurance Company, Outland Energy Services, Rotary Club of Canby, SW/WC Service Cooperative, The Schwan Food Company, and U.S. Bank.  In addition, a number of individuals donated school supplies at numerous donation barrels that were located throughout the area.

Volunteers from The Schwan Food Company, Department of Corrections, United Way and the community helped purchase, sort, pack and deliver the school supplies.  Carr Properties is storing the barrels that collected donated supplies for reuse in the future.

As you can see from the listing above, this is a community involvement effort that we can all be proud of.  Thank you again for your help!
