United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. Every Person.  Every Community.

At United Way of Southwest Minnesota we work to unite people and resources to improve lives and strengthen communities in southwest Minnesota with a focus on health, education, financial stability, hunger, and safety & well-being. We achieve these goals by convening the community to address key issues, collaborating to achieve measurable impact, and connecting human and financial resources. Your dollar goes further with us because we’re not doing our work alone. More than 50,000 local people will be served in 2017-18 through United Way of Southwest Minnesota initiatives, community partner programs and partnerships.

Through our investment in community impact, we work to make sure people get the support services they need right now while simultaneously addressing the root causes of key issues – that’s how we create true community impact. Over the last 15 years, United Way of Southwest Minnesota has re-invested more than $5.9 million locally to benefit the lives of our friends and neighbors.  Community Investment volunteers from throughout our service area review local grant requests and make funding recommendations to our local Board of Directors to be certain that your donation makes the largest impact!

That’s what LIVING UNITED looks like in southwest Minnesota.
