Power of the Purse Event to Support Early Childhood Literacy Programs

Power of the Purse is an exciting event that brings together women from throughout southwest Minnesota with a commitment to our youngest learners. All money raised will be used for local initiatives that help effectively prepare young children in our area for kindergarten. Proceeds from this event support efforts such as Imagination Library, Wild About Kindergarten Bags, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, Born Learning Trails, Little Red Bookshelf and more!
The 2018 Power of the Purse event is scheduled for 6:00pm on Thursday, April 26th at the Ramada Inn, Marshall. The evening will include: fabulous purses, silent auction, delicious food, ladies' night out and an investment in early childhood education and literacy.
Tickets for the event are $45 and tables of six, eight and ten are available. Seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased online at www.UnitedWaySWMN.org or by calling the United Way of Southwest Minnesota office at 507-929-2273. Silent auction items can be previewed, starting now up to the event, on the website or on the Power of the Purse 2018 event page located on the United Way of Southwest Minnesota Facebook page.
