Neighbors United Resource Center Awarded Small Grant

The United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) Board of Directors recently approved Small Grants in Round II totaling $6,875. The Small Grant program is an outreach of the Community Impact funding process. The available amount of grant dollars each year is subject to change. One-time grants, up to $5,000, are awarded to organizations aligned with UWSWMN’s priority areas.

Neighbors United Resource Center in Granite Falls was the recipient of a Small Grant totaling $2,675. This one-time grant will be used to improve access & sanitation required in the entry/waiting area of the Food Shelf in anticipation of the eventual return of in-house food distribution to customers during the pandemic.  This program aligns to UWSWMN’s hunger priority area.

The other grant recipient in Round II was Lincoln Elementary in Ivanhoe.
