United Way of Southwest Minnesota Announces 2023 Campaign Chair
We are thrilled that Matt Suby has been chosen to chair this year's annual campaign for United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN). Matt Suby is a long-time Marshall, MN, resident working as a Business Development Specialist for Western Equipment Finance in Marshall. The theme for this year's campaign is "Raise Your Hand!" What motivates you to raise your hand and get involved? Is it caring for others, helping those in need, or striving for a better future? Whatever your reason, UWSWMN invites you to join us and raise your hand because change cannot happen alone. With your help, we can bring hope to our community.
The United Way of Southwest Minnesota supports so many people in the communities we live with and interact with daily. We are asking you to "Raise Your Hand" and join the effort to improve the lives of those around us and to strengthen the fabric of the communities in which we live, shared Suby. Suby lives in Marshall with his wife, Deanna, and two daughters, Adalin and Violet.
Suby will lead the campaign and the resource development committee in this position. This committee comprises diverse volunteers serving on the UWSWMN board of directors. They will help shape and implement strategies to meet this year's fundraising goal of $538,000.
Suby is the latest in many local leaders who have served in this position. Hans Zahrbock (Western Equipment Finance) chaired in 2022-23, Al Castor (Lockwood Motors) chaired in 2021-22, while Rachel Nuese (Schwan Shared Services LLC) and Michelle Doeling (Minnwest Bank) co-chaired the campaign in 2020-21. Doeling also chaired the campaign in 2019-20, Melanie Pedersen (U.S. Bank) chaired the 2018-19 campaign, and Amy Herrick (North Star Mutual Insurance Company) chaired the 2017-18 campaign.
We strive to promote health, education, hunger, financial stability, and safety & well-being as these are key components of a thriving community that benefits everyone. To learn more about United Way of Southwest Minnesota, please visit our website at UnitedWaySWMN.org and follow us on social media.
