UWSWMN received gift from Jame T. Rowe Estate
The United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) is honored to have been chosen as one of the non-profits to receive a substantial donation from the James T. Rowe Estate. Bill Paterson, Rowe's stepson, personally visited Marshall on Thursday, September 5th, and presented UWSWMN with a generous gift of $94,000.
Ted Rowe was not just a community leader in Marshall; he was a beacon of inspiration. Ted joined the Sunrise Rotary Club and remained active until moving to Willmar. His numerous awards in Rotary and the lifelong friendships he formed are a testament to his impact. Ted served on the Marshall City Council, the Marshall Utilities Commission, and the Marshall Chamber of Commerce; his love for Bridge and his newspaper column, "Holding Hands with Ted Rowe," and "Oh' Fiddlesticks" is part of the legacy he leaves behind.
The James T. Rowe Estate's generosity will benefit numerous Non-Profit organizations in our area. UWSWMN is honored and grateful to receive this generous gift.
