Minnesota Reading Corps of ServeMinnesota was awarded a $13,000 grant through United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN). This community partner program aligns with UWSWMN’s education priority area, as this program works to help children from kindergarten to 3rd grade gain the literacy skills they need to have educational success.
UWSWMN initiatives, community partner programs and partnerships will serve 52,600 local people in 2019-20. Community volunteers from throughout our service area review local grant requests and make funding recommendations to our local Board of Directors to be certain donations to UWSWMN make the most impact.
